Sheerness Dockyard Church
Our team was entrusted with designing, crafting, and installing 31 traditional leaded lights and 3 Venetian windows to the architect’s exact specifications for the Sheerness Dockyard Church. This project has garnered acclaim, winning the Georgian Group’s Best Reuse of a Georgian Building 2023 award. After being gutted by fire in 2001, this Grade II* listed building has been beautifully transformed. We preserved key elements, allowing visitors to explore the church's rich heritage and learn about its significant role in the former Royal Dockyard. Our work on this prestigious project highlights our dedication to excellence in restoration and our ability to breathe new life into historically significant structures. Choose our services to ensure your project receives the same level of meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail.

At Tonbridge School's Grade II-listed Cawthorne Building, originally a chapel built in the 1850s, we undertook extensive and sympathetic conservation and repair works to preserve its ecclesiastical features. Converted into a lecture theatre in the early 1990s, the building required both exterior and interior restoration. Initially engaged in a consultancy role, we meticulously surveyed and reported the condition of the windows to the client. Subsequently appointed as the specialist sub-contractor, we executed the necessary works as outlined in our report. Our restoration efforts included the stained glass windows on the west side and the leaded lights on the east side, complete with new wire guarding. Additionally, we addressed the remedial needs of both the north and south aisles. This project exemplifies our dedication to preserving historical integrity while ensuring functional modern use. Trust us to bring the same level of expertise and care to your restoration projects, blending historical preservation with contemporary craftsmanship.
